Our company motto is: “Safety is Number One in our family.”

And that’s much more than a catchy slogan. It’s a commitment.
We’ve developed a company culture committed to safety simply because we value each and every employee.

"Hartman & Hartman, Inc. is like no ordinary company in our industry. Its unsurpassed safety culture has roots that run much deeper than paper alone. Hartman's employees are family and as family, we look out for one another. Safety is everyone's responsibility"

-Christopher Ondecko, HSE Manager

Hartman & Hartman’s award-winning safety program (10+ years winning the ABC STEP Platinum Award for safety) complies with, and often surpasses, the standards set forth by OSHA, and includes either OSHA 10 or PEC SafeLand training, with certain employees required to complete both training programs.

With both new employee safety training (eight hours) and mandatory routine safety re-training for existing employees, Hartman & Hartman’s comprehensive safety training includes written testing and hands-on safety performance evaluation components.

“We not only have all the training, procedures, and oversight in place, but our employees use their training and resource to practice what we preach on our jobsites.”
— Jay Chapman, President and CEO.

Additionally, Hartman & Hartman has a rigorous drug testing policy with pre-employment, post-incident, reasonable cause and random drug testing. Our current drug test is a 13-panel test.

With a dedicated Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Manager, Hartman & Hartman has a team of HSE Specialists who routinely visit job sites, perform audits, coach employees and provide direction. Providing job safety and continually improving our safety standards and procedures put our people’s’ and customers’ employees’ health first.
